The whole point of diapr is a record you can trust. Here’s exactly what we promise, and, just as honestly, where we can’t promise for someone else.

Never sold, never mined

We don’t sell your care data or your child’s information, show no ads in the app, and have no business built on your baby’s data.

Not used to train AI

We never use your child’s information to train AI models, and Anthropic — the provider behind diapr’s built-in AI — is contractually barred from training on it too. If you connect your own ChatGPT or Claude account, whatever you send there is covered by that provider’s terms, not ours.

On your device by default

Your logs and photos stay on your device. Accounts, sync and backup are optional and stay off until you turn them on.

What leaves your device, and when

Logging only (no account) Your logs and photos never leave your device.

Cloud sync & backup on Your logs, and photos on the paid plans, sync to Google Cloud (processed in the US or elsewhere), so your family stays in step.

AI features on Your child’s age, recent logs and notes — and, for the chat assistant, their name — go to Anthropic (US) to answer. On by default on the paid plans, off anytime in Settings.

The honest part: those promises are ours to keep. What we can’t promise is what independent subprocessors do with data you send through them. Our built-in AI routes your request to Anthropic (Claude); if you connect ChatGPT it goes to OpenAI instead, each under its own policy, and Anthropic is barred from training on your data. Google Analytics runs in the app and on our website for anonymous usage only, with ad signals off, and the website adds a consent-gated Meta Pixel — none of which ever receive your care logs or moments. We’re a Canadian company and follow PIPEDA, and it’s all spelled out in our privacy policy.

Is my family’s data private?
